In this section, you can see some of my prop and character works for the game: early versions of the main character and the fracked soldier, the ammo pickup, and the plant.
At the early stages of the game development, the player character was an ex-military type that had retired a while ago and settled in a peaceful (he would think so!) village. My aim was to convey traits of a trained soldier in his appearance and simultaneously add a lumberjack vibe to it.
The fracked soldier is a military man that got infected by this strange disease that fiercely attacked the mines, and let no one escape its horrendous effects. My target was to develop the healthy look of the soldier and variants of the infected state.
The plant is supposed to grant abilities to the player. It needed to be visually distinguished in the already quite colourful environment, hence yellow and red were predominantly used in its design. The shape derives from combining a tree and peanut shells.
